Many navigators sailing into Boka Kotorska bay know about an important fact that the maximum permitted speed of navigation in the entire bay is limited. By new Law Safety of Maritime Navigation, speed limit is adjusted for vessels with length less than 24 m. Extracted clauses of speed limit from the Law, are down below stated. This new regulation will leave a bit flexibility for yacht’s tenders speed.
Speed in Boka Kotorska is restricted to:
1) not more than 10 kn in all bay
2) not more than 6 kn in Kumborski Tjesnac and Prolaz Verige
Speed in Boka Kotorska for vessels with length less than 24 m is restricted to:
1) not more than 14 kn in all bay
2) not more than 10 kn in Kumborski Tjesnac and Prolaz Verige
Speed in Kumborski Tjesnac is restricted between coordinates:
a) 42°26,10’N 018°36,60’E
b) 42°25,47’N 018°36,26’E
c) 42°25,85’N 018°34,63’E
d) 42°26,47’N 018°35,01’E
Speed in Prolaz Verige is restricted between coordinates:
a) 42°28,65’N 018°41,41’E
b) 42°28,77’N 018°41,11’E
c) 42°27,65’N 018°40,15’E
d) 42°27,46’N 018°41,02’E
